It certainly has! Bride Rosalie Hierholzer fashioned her wedding dress in 1945 from the parachute that saved her future husband, U.S. Army radio operator Les Bourland, when he bailed out of a plane over Germany during WWII. Talk about taking the plunge into matrimony!
